I just saw the "Beauty Academy of Kabul" the other night and really, really reccomend it. I was moved by how the simple pleasure of making one's self look beautiful, has been kept alive as an underground enterprise for the many years that the Taliban has ruled Afghanistan. There are some very simple interactions between all of the participants in the film that really, to me, were incredibly moving. Click on the link in my "film" list to find it on Netflix.
